My kids are now Homeschooled and I work from home teaching via Outschool but I still use these especially for those busy work from home days when my boys want a hot lunch. It’s a cute little touch to our days.
if you’re new to Outschool take a free class. Also great for after school or weekend classes.

Today on Lunchbox Lundi (Lundi means Monday in French) Lunchbox Monday sounds cool too but in our quest to be creative overachievers ….well you get the point right??
It’s week four of school and we have completely gone through the Arsenal of PB & J. If you missed the blog of all of our fabulous Peanut Butter and Jelly combinations click this link.
We’re starting this week with another favorite chicken nuggets and waffle fries. They won’t be sad and soggy by lunchtime because we just got this cool Batman Funtainer . We found it at Wal-Mart for about $10. There are a few more options for funtainers here

I originally discovered the funtainer while watching lunchbox videos on YouTube. I am obsessed with all things lunchbox this school year. My obsession with school lunches started when I made these little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sandwiches when my son was in PreK.

My lunchbox dreams were briefly put on hold in Kindergarten because my kids’ school fed them 5 times a day so my Pinterest creativity was stifled.
Now,I want my son to have options and presentation is important so I’d like to slowly build his lunchbox collection.
My expectations from this cool little container is to allow more options, more balanced meals, and to make my prep life a little easier. The funtainer keeps food warm for 5 hours and foods cold for 7 hours. He can take leftovers, how cool and convenient is that!
I remember a 2nd grade field trip I was so excited at the idea of my mom packing hot dogs for my lunch. However, by the time I ate it the hot dogs were cold and a bit weird. I’d like for my son to enjoy his warm foods and his cold foods the way the Lord intended. No shade Mom I love you!
I’m so excited for the week ahead. I plan to have some of his favorite foods as main courses.
His sides will vary between Pop Tarts, yogurt, apple pouch, strawberries, string, or cubed cheeses. (I just have to figure out a way to fit in more veggies he’s not a smoothie connoisseur like his brother)
On Monday he’ll have chicken nuggets and waffle fries ( with saved sauces from Chik Fil Ano judgement zone)
Tuesday: My famous homemade Macaroni & Cheese
Wednesday: He’ll probably want more Mac & Cheese again
Thursday: He will still ask for Mac & Cheese but he will have a warm turkey blt cut into small pieces to fit into the funtainer
Friday: Is a half day so I will only pack a few snacks
The funtainer has cute options for girls too.
I can’t wait to hear his reviews when he comes home from school.
Love
Johnni
